Ingredients:
40ml Kalevala Gin
2tbsp ginger syrup*
100ml strongly brewed black tea
Juice of half a lime
For the Ginger Syrup:
120g fresh ginger
150ml water
150ml sugar
1/2 tbsp salt
Zest of half a lime
Method:
- Combine the strong black tea and ginger syrup in a glass and stir.
- Squeeze in the lime juice and add the gin.
- Stir for a final time and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
- *For the Ginger Syrup:
Add finely sliced ginger, sugar, water, salt and lime peel to a saucepan and bring the mixture to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes without the lid. Discard the ginger and lime peel. Pour the liquid into the jar, let it cool and keep in the refrigerator.
