Each bottle of Romeo’s Gin, the Craft Gin Club Gin of the Month for May ‘19, is emblazoned with a stunning work of art from one of five Montreal artists. This cocktail recipe is named after one of those artists, Sandra Chevrier; as with the bittersweet nature of her work, this drink combines the tartness of grapefruit with the syrupy kiss of cocktail cherries.

The Sandra Chevrier
60ml Romeo’s Gin
1/8th of a pink grapefruit
10ml simple syrup
2 drops bitters
1 cocktail cherry and grapefruit zest, to garnish
In an Old Fashioned glass, combine the pink grapefruit, simple syrup and bitters. Muddle well. Add the gin and a large ice cube. Mix gently with a long spoon. Garnish with the cocktail cherry and grapefruit zest.
