Fancy a drink and a burger? How about both in one?
Butcher’s Gin, a liquor flavoured by real beef, is the brainchild of luxury butchery brand De Laet & Van Haver. Based on the flavours of Secreto 07, a Michelin-restaurant acclaimed dry-aged beef from the butchery, the gin came about after Belgian butcher Luc De Laet realised the similarities between marinating beef and the maceration process in the production of gin. The spices and herbs that form part of the rub for Secreto 07 beef are macerated before the distillation of Butcher’s, with a little dried meat being added to the spirit, as well.
It’s safe to say there aren't many conventional ways to enjoy such an unconventional gin, but this recipe for a Red Snapper (a gin-based Bloody Mary) seems to be the perfect fit!
