Grapefruit & Elderflower Gin Fizz: refreshing, delicious, and ready in seconds

Grapefruit and gin is a classic combination - as is elderflower and gin. But have you ever tried them all together? Once you do, you’ll wonder why you never tried it before! In our easy recipe below, the floral sweetness of the elderflower syrup balances out the slight bitterness of the grapefruit, while keeping all of those lovely zingy citrus notes! It’s refreshing, tasty and incredibly simple to make.

Layer the elderflower and grapefruit up with your favourite smooth gin (a classic London Dry or a citrus-inspired gin would work well, nothing too spicy) and top with a touch of soda for just a little fizz, and you’ve got yourself a refreshing summer drink like no other!

Grapefruit & Elderflower Gin Fizz

40ml gin
60ml pink grapefruit juice
10ml elderflower syrup
30ml soda water

Add lots of ice to a cocktail shaker or stirring cup. Shake or mix vigorously until the shaker (or beaker) is chilled to the touch. Strain into your glass over ice, top with a little soda, and garnish with a slice of fresh grapefruit.
