Craft Gin Club's April 2026 Rum of the Month: House of Elrick The Lairds Edition Spiced Rum
This April, we're heading up to Aberdeenshire with a craft spirit from the fantastic House of Elrick. Owned and directed by Stuart Ingram, House of Elrick is more than a distillery - it's a living estate where heritage, culture and craftsmanship collide.
Stuart inherited Elrick Estate, a centuries-old stately home and gardens, in 2014 and decided to open a distillery at the site in 2016. Over the years he's developed a delicious range of premium spirits inspired by the beauty of his home, all while restoring Elrick Estate to its former glory.
With The Lairds Edition Spiced Rum, House of Elrick's latest expression and the craft rum you've discovered in your boxes this month, Stuart has drawn inspiration from Aberdeenshire's wild and sprawling coast and its history of smuggling.
Boasting warming notes of ginger and cinnamon layered with a black pepper heat, this rum is rich and aromatic with a surprising citrus finish.
House of Elrick shows its versatility with this exclusive spiced rum, which is the bold, warming counterpart to the fresh profile of our House of Elrick Gin of the Month - The Gardeners Edition. The Lairs Edition bottles a different side to Aberdeen's rich history - one of adventure, rebellion and spirit.

April 2026 Perfect Rum Serve
Ingredients
- 50ml House of Elrick The Lairds Edition Spiced Rum
- 150ml Old Jamaica Ginger & Lime
- Charred lemon and lime, to garnish
Method
Fill a glass with ice and add your rum and mixer. Add the garnish, stir gently to infuse and serve.

On top of the Perfect Serve recipe, Clubbers will also receive the ingredients for our April 2026 Cocktail of the Month – our exclusive Berry Collins!
A vibrant highball where the rum is lifted by the sweetness of ripe strawberry syrup and the lively tang of Nexba Mixed Berry Kombucha. This cocktail is fresh, lightly effervescent and beautifully balanced.

Ingredients
- 50ml House of Elrick The Lairds Edition Spiced Rum
- 25ml Craft Gin Club Berry Cocktail Syrup
- 150ml Nexba Mixed Berry Kombucha
- Fresh strawberries, to garnish
Method
Add the rum, cocktail syrup and mixer to a highball glass filled with ice. Stir to combine, garnish and serve.
