This passionfruit gin cocktail is the burst of sunshine your gloomy winter day needs

In every Gin of the Month box, we send our Craft Gin Club members the key ingredients to make a specially crafted tipple as our Cocktail of the Month.

Like the mythical city of gold from which it takes its name, January 2019’s Cocktail of the Month was a treasure of the Amazon rainforest. Conquistadors and adventurers spent centuries searching for the lost city of El Dorado – mapping much of the Amazon in the process – but you need only venture to the kitchen to make this cracking cocktail! A combination of gin, tropical fruit juices and passion fruit syrup, it’s every bit as precious as its namesake.

El Dorado

50ml La República Amazónica Gin*
20ml passion fruit syrup*
20ml lime juice
20ml orange juice
Cucumber slices and mint sprig, to garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add your ingredients. Shake and strain into a tall glass packed with ice. Garnish with cucumber slices and a mint sprig to serve in style!
