We never really need an excuse to indulge our national obsession with all things curry, but there's even more reason to ramp up the spice factor this week, as it's National Curry Week.
Established 19 years ago, this celebration aims to encourage us all to support our local curry houses - many of which will be hosting special events - while raising money for charities concentrating on hunger, malnourishment and poverty at the same time.
It's also a great excuse to get experimenting with the spices at home - and we've been inspired by our spice-loving to take it up a notch with this curry-infused cocktail (that’s right!) that is sure get you fired up! Cheers!

3/4 teaspoon curry powder
30ml cream of coconut
70ml London Dry gin
15ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
Method:
Mix your curry powder and the cream of coconut until it makes a paste.
Shake all ingredients together vigorously with some ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with a sprinkle of additional curry powder and a bay leaf, if desired.
